The Benefits of Dance Therapy & Yoga
Dance movement therapy, also known as DMT, helps individuals foster physical, cognitive, and social connection. Heart-Dance classes offer a unique fusion of World Dance, Yoga, & Martial Arts. This therapy is used for all individuals. It greatly promotes self-esteem, self-awareness, and expression.
Heart-Dance is infused with the spirit of Yoga which further boosts immunity and relieves stress. Yoga has been shown to also reduce inflammation. Prioritize your well-being and begin your journey toward wellness and joy.

I am a Nia Technique Black Belt, a certified MoveIT teacher, Moving to Heal, and Yoga Instructor. Heart-Dance Therapy classes are based on mindful, systemic, and accessible movement that is designed to improve flexibility, agility, mobility, strength, and stability.
Classes are joy-filled, joint-friendly movement suitable for all life stages.
Movement will be inspired by the art and science of dance, martial arts and yoga, as we invite our own personalization. The result is a unique and deeply satisfying experience.
Classes are In-Studio, Outside, and Live via Zoom.

If anyone has the winter blues, I wanted to let you know about Dancing with Dominique, which will cure your blues and blahs. The wonder of Zoom is that wherever in the world you live you can experience the thrill and exhilaration of dancing with the remarkable Dominique, a longtime Ann Arbor resident. It's a unique combination of movement forms: part dance, part tai chi, part yoga, part pure joy. You can be a total beginner, like me, or a skilled dancer and get an equal amount of joy from her classes. She really is unlike any other dance teacher--empathic and inspiring in her grace and imagination. Try it, and you'll be amazed.
Dominique inspires me! I followed her from the studio to Zoom. In a fun and creative way she helps me to move far more than my daily walks require. Her agility, joyful music and liveliness all inspire.
